  • New features of the program:
    
    
    • Men and women’s adult’s Mu Dan Sha categories – No longer children, but adult participants in this category are drastically increasing across the U.S. and they are the generation to carry on the future of our U.S. kendo. We would like to give them the opportunity to attend and experience major tournaments like national championships. We wish to encourage them to persevere and follow through with kendo.
    
    
    • Extended (3-day) tournament - With the addition of these two new categories and the general increase of the number of adult kendo players in the U.S., we can no longer conduct these tournaments within 2 days. As we see the future of this continuous growth, we also must recognize the need to change from the traditional 2 days to a 3 days program.
